In Memory of Robert Carson

Robert Wayne "Bob" Carson, 72, of Roswell, GA (formerly of Oklahoma City, OK), passed away on May 15, 2011, his mother's birthday. He was in the first graduating class of Northwest Classen High School where he played for the varsity football team. He then went to the University of Oklahoma where he majored in Zoology and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity and served as their Rush Chairman. As early as the age of 5, he started to attend Oklahoma football games with his dad. Bob's hobbies included University of Oklahoma football, his children's baseball games, and astronomy. He worked in the vitamin industry for most of his life. Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Carson; sons, Rick of Canton, GA, David of Oklahoma City, OK, and Michael of Milford, NH; 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Sarah, Jennifer and Jack; sister, Kaye Jeffries. There will be a Memorial service for Bob at 3:00 pm on Thursday, May 19 in the Roswell Presbyterian Church Historic Sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's name to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), Visiting Nurse Hospice Atlanta (www.vnhs.org), or to the Roswell Fire Department (38 Hill Street, Roswell, GA 30075).
